My thoughts over the board

Thanks to both of you for posting and helping me see through this.
I was playing someone that I beat more times than not. When this came up my thoughts were; only 4 rolls do not hit a checker and very quickly I can have 2 and possibly 3 checkers on the bar. If I do not anchor fast I am losing this game. I gave very little thought to the possibility I could win this game out side of I better anchor NOW or I am dead.
My thoughts then took me to the score. I have stated many times I am clueless with match equities and I quess at it. In this position I thought if I take and win the match is over, but I gave very little into winning so that was not the consideration. If I take and lose I am 9-10 crawford and unless I win gammon next game I have to play two games to win. If I drop the cube its 9-9 and most likely the next game will be the last game. I liked my chances in one game over two games where one is crawford.
I looked at this and discovered it was not just a blunder. It is the blunder of all blunders to pass this.
I have so much to learn. :))
