I like 501 because it packs a lot of interesting problems and generally fine commentary into a reasonably priced package, but Robertie's overly brief analysis of problem 64 is typical. He recommends 7/3 to maximize builders, dismisses 8/4 as "careless," but doesn't mention 12/8, which I think would have been the careless move. 7/3 does maximize pointmaking numbers (13) but 8/4 gives eight and doesn't blot with 6-6. And keeping the barpoint for a roll may be better in some sequences involving White entering with a single ace.

Quiz Factor sez 13/12* 8/4 is the right move.
