do any of the old BG hands object to just ripping the checker in one fell swoop without explanation?

If You Old Hand are playing against Me Old Hand, play 6/off. I've almost no objection but ... isn't this a good example of one kind of dispute that clocks prevent? Never a "didn't you roll a 6-3?"
