Do you mean: should Blue hit, leaving 3 blots and giving White 24 ways to hit at least one of them immediately, most of which leave Blue a big underdog of ever making a board?
Maybe Blue should consider some other play instead, perhaps one that doesn't leave three blots, and makes Blue a favorite to make a 4 point board, and might even allow Blue to play a few rolls in his home board comfortably. Blue might even leave one blot that can be hit, which shouldn't be too bad for Blue, since he could use that checker to run with while maintaining his two back points and continuing to work on his own homeboard.
