I check because when he calls that flop there are a variety of hands I can put him on, and that T helped all of them. I want the free card. Granted, I did not put him on 8Q (rofl) but TJ, TQ, TK, TA were all possibilities. Any other hand (two over cards) I wasn't worried about and would happily call down on the river. I 3 bet preflop ... the only 'semi bluff' I could pull off would be an overpair ... I saw more trouble betting it than good coming out of when it worked compared to checking/calling.
