I disagree. When white enters one checker 2/3 of the 75%(50%), you do not have a strong double, if you have a double at all.
Granted you will gain some equity with your play when white enters exactly one checker but that is more than compensated for by the fact that when you make the point white enters exactly one checker 44.5% vs. 50% for your play and white enters both checkers 11% with the point and 25% with your play. The equity differential in that extra 14% is massive.
