Is music allowed while playing?

Rulings on subjects like this are pretty much left up to the tournament director. In my opinion, it should not be. The rules should cover items like this, and in my opinion, should state that if either party objects to music, headphones, cell phone calls or texting, or other distractions, it should not be allowed.
I do believe that people should be allowed to take pictures of positions and video matches, with certain reasonable restrictions provided they do not cause undo delays or interfere with play.
There are some very good reasons one might object to someone wearing headphones...here are just a few:
1. It is possible to listen to a recording of match equity tables or other helpful aids that might enhance your game;
2. Some people hum and sing along, bob their head or tap their fingers, and that can be very irritating;
3. In an important match, some people might take this as a sign of disrespect for the importance of the match, tournament or venue.
4. If I were podcasting or recording the finals of an important match to the world, as a tournament director I might not want to give watchers the impression that one or both of the players was enjoying music or listening to Click and Clack while playing. It might be important for getting sponsors to show a level of decorum at the table. (I know, poker does just fine with people wearing sun glasses, funny hats, and head phones, but that might not be the image we're going for in Monte Carlo, and I believe the tournament director should be allowed some privilege in areas like this, dress code, and behavior.)
