Agreed. This makes more sense than (paraphrasing) "I had to put on headphones because my opponent was so annoying, commenting on my plays, and cackling at my antijokers."

Let's check a rule book:

1. Proprieties. 1.2. Scope 1.2.3. Etiquette 1.2.3.1 General. The directors and players are expected, in accordance with the spirit of the game, to show a high degree of courteous and considerate behaviour.

Is that not an unwritten ABT rule? Is that standard too much to expect?
