and usually lower when dealing with top players

Gregg said that, not me, but I do think that if very top player's matches were exhaustively analyzed with rollouts, their error rates would be lower than they were in the evaluations. No, I don't have proof. I can't recall seeing more than a handful of matches that were analyzed that way, including as Gregg pointed out all the bot evaluation errors.
