Correct. Many people often think cubeless losses vs gammons. Fact is that any position which on your next doubling opportunity can be cashed or is a close take can be scored as a win. Just because your opponent can win the position if played out to the end 20% of the time while you only win 5% gammons doesn't mean it is not still too good. If you will be able to cash those 20% losses and still get to keep the 5% gammons you are clearly too good.
