13/8 loses fewer gammons, has more shots, but provides better long term options for blue. Also, small feature is the duplication of 6s for white to hit/escape - there must be some parlays where blue gets hit, and white cannot eject his last guy (small I know, but still worth considering).

I dont think that blue wins enough gammons to hit this one on the ace. And he always has to worry about clearing the midpoint, even as he is pointing on white.
