Yes I do remember this match very well! played back in 2005 in Copenhagen - Maybe the strongest matchup in the Danish team tournament ever - definitely the most interesting one. First off all my team "Mamalustra" playing Morten Holms team "Nemo". And the matchup and score was:

30309 Serge Rived - 9601 Gus Hansen 17 - 12 2382 Morten Lassen - 11942 Christian Sønder 14 - 17 X22 Poul Magriel - 10704 Steen Grønbech 15 - 17 2150 Mads Andersen - 10028 Tanja Lewis 17 - 13

So the team match usually starts at 7:30pm but as always when we play Nemo we started out with a delicious dinner and it was at least 9pm before the match started. I remember being very happy about the draw playing Magrill who wrote the BG bible and was one of the biggest stars when I started playing BG back in the early 90'ties.

I should add that this tournament is mostly about prestige - the entry for a team in the championship division is about 700$. The entire tournament consist of 22 matches, so here we where somewhere in Danmark playing a team match for about 700/22 ~ 34$. Then why not fly in Magrill, Rivet and Gus!!

We started the match and I remember Magrill was thinking for this cube for a while and I tried to look like I was considering the cube action all along. He ended up turning the cube and I took it slowly thinking that this is for sure a take (even though I have for sure taken bigger ND). I ended up winning a gammon and was ahead 4-0. From that point on it was a one man show until Magrill was ahead 15-5. Then I won 2 gammons (13-15) and then to doubled normal games 17-15. Very exiting match and maybe Magrill was a little frustrated - my team member Peter Toftsø kept asking "what did you roll" every time he danced ;-). However I was glad that the match was recorded, there where definitely more interesting cube actions in that match.
