Agree. I have tremendous respect for Howard and Pat and believe they are amongst the best. But...

Howard and Pat may have taken their position to eliminate appeals back when it took only 2 of 3 to overrule the director. The director with years of experience making rulings may have insights that the appeals committee does not. The director should get two votes. So if the committee is split on the decision 2:1, but overturns the director, I can see there being a decent likelihood that they got it wrong. However with the current rule that the appeals committee must vote unanimously to overturn the director, I think the director should concede. Nobody's perfect.

I believe in the appeals process, and strongly encourage all directors to support it as well.
