An example of this occurred at the Mid-Atlantic tournament. I walked the two blocks to Dunkin' Donuts to get a latte, paid $2.99 for the larger size, and then noticed the huge sign in the window advertising the smaller size for 99 cents. It would definitely have been more equitous to get two of the smaller ones.

Moral: Be observant, and consider how unusual features of your position might make it right to do something other than the standard play.
