On my way to my cottage in South Haven on Friday afternoon, we stopped off at a farm stand to buy some fruit. There was an older man selling watermelons off the back of a pickup truck. He had some piled on the ground, and the price was $3 each, and he had more on the back of the truck, price $4 each. As I watched, I noticed most people paid the extra dollar for the ones on the truck. I couldn't tell the difference between the two groups, so I asked him, "Why are the ones on the ground cheaper?"

And he replied, "I don't want to have to put them back on the truck."
