I use my own homegrown methods.

If Blue had a 5 roll speed board White can definately take with an optimal 32 pip position. However, White can't get an optimal 32 pip position with 7 checkers and he'd want to pass here.

But I think that even though Blue has only 8 checkers, he's likely to miss and end up with worse than a perfect 5 roll position. Even if he doesn't miss, quite a few doubles don't take 4 pieces off.

I do think that Blue is a little worse than a 5 roll speed board.

Do the two adjustments balance out? I think so and expect this to be a close take.
