I agree that Phil should apologize for what he said about GNUBG. I also think that his ads for XG are getting tiresome and repetitive. I have no problem with being enthusiastic about XG; Neil is equally enthusiastic, but he gives fresh information each time he posts whereas Phil just repeats himself.

But the real reason I'm posting here is that I'm curious about how much effort is going into improving the underlying "engine" of GNUBG, as opposed to what might be called "features." Is anyone working on improving the neural net or the computational efficiency, or even more radical changes in the algorithm?
