Another option on offering players 'the best' is to offer them the 'mathematical best'. If they roll something that works with one play and not with others you then determine what the best mathematical play was and they are forced to make that play. If two or more plays result in the same equity, they must roll to see which play was made. This method speeds up the game and is still generous to the weaker players that often make the wrong play or take an inordinate amount of time finding the right play and it is a display of goodwill.
