Actually 5 ER, (or so),is the best... It combines lousy doubles that the computer would laugh at you for but your opponents PASS. It also allows for lousy takes according to the computer but your human opponents butcher up so bad that you would lose equity if you passed them.

Winning tournaments is best accomplished by studying hard before hand so you know the game as well as you possibly can, and then ALLOWING yourself to get lucky, both by taking advantage of your opponents fears and weaknesses.

Doubling at the same time as the bots will give you a zero ER, and an empty trophy case because you can't play well enough to justify doubling at the same time as the bots. UNLESS you read your opponent well and can steal from them, and there is no substitute for experience in developing a feel for that. If nothing else, I have a LOT of OTB experience and I have studied the game hard too.
