Thanks Christian for clearing it up, maybe you should practice and learn how to enter a position? I knew Matt didn't have a clear picture of the position, but he had the gist of it.

What is funny is the computer says the best cube action is no redouble/take, using your numbers and analysis.

For us, the BEST action was clearly: Redouble and get a drop!

For you, it is arguable what you should do with the redouble, and you chose due to time, apparently.

It is well known that with delay time a minute is an eternity, and nobody with any reasonable amount of dexterity is going to lose on time. Certainly not me.

In the end I am quite sure that Sassan would have been quite happy to just let me play without discussion if time became an issue. I was taking my time explaining things to him because I knew there was not any time pressure. After the Crawford game it is trivial to split opening aces and steer towards holding games and such to eliminate as many gammons as possible.

I think in the end it would have been a wiser decision to pass because you thought you could outplay us after the Crawford game... Even though I disagree with the premise of it, with all due respect... Than to imagine that we were going to allow ourselves to lose on time!

Stick and MCG had 12 seconds left on their clock in the first round... and I asked Sassan to delay one play until we had 59 seconds left at DMP, just so nobody would have over a minute left on the clock... Several players treat the clock as a contest trying to run as close to zero as possible.
