Yeack just re-read this post and realized I need to clarify that the position I was obliged to beaver or drop was a "skinny pass" under the circumstances, meaning it was a huge take OtB in the game itself. But I was pretty sure at the time it was a bit better to pass it than beaver it, if the simple-take option were suddenly disabled by a squirrely rule. Since the amount of equity I was throwing away was quite minimal, I took it.

Can't reproduce it but the position type was race with some remaining contact, minimal gammons possible, and a clear take just on the race.
