In Response To: Slot the back of the prime! (David)

I would also slot the back of the prime, but for tactical reasons, not strategic ones. My natural preference would be to slot the front of the prime because of the race as Chuck suggested. White's chances of splitting against ten checkers are better than Blue's chances against thirteen. Blue's plan is to stay put while White's plan is to make a break. Blue would like to make the four point to keep White as deep as possible. However, hitting threes are not well duplicated due to the stripped bar point on the other side of the board. And, the spare on the eight isn't as effective for covering or otherwise contesting the inner board as it would be on the seven. So, I would slot the back of the prime in the original position.

Slide one spare for both sides up to the bar point and I would slot the front (11-10, 6-4) instead of the rear.

The score (after 0 games) is: GNU_bg 0, user 0 (match to 1 point, post-Crawford play)

Move number 6: user to play 21
