I am still in the final testing of these settings for XGRoller+. but is very promising. Neil and I work hard to get to a level were it does not seems to have any systematic flaw (not that is is perfect).
Version 1.10 will improve on speed as it handle multi-core. version 1.04 (and below) handle 2 cores but the new version make a better use of it. You can expect the following speed improvement: - 1 core: 1.00 (none) - 2 core: 1.15 - 4 core: 2.50 - 8 core: 3.50 (core i5/i7)
XGRoller will be a bit stronger (than on version 1.04) with virtually no lost on speed on a dual core. XGRoller+ is about 5.5 stronger and his 4 time slower. It does not seems much but its extremely low error rate maybe enough to dispense you from a rollout (then, the gain in time is very important).
Like Neil suggested, XGRoller+ is good choice for a second pass. It's obviously targeted to high end users. But, as Phil Simborg mentioned, it’s still fast (about the same than a GnuBG 3-ply).
For version 1.10 availability let's tab on 2-3 weeks. But if my day work gets a bit crazy it maybe more. Note that it will still be part of version 1.xx so it will be available at no cost.
