Every money game I play, the take points are the same and the price of gammons are the same, no matter what the cube is on. Doubling strategy is pretty much consistent, with the exception of activating the Jacoby rule.

In match play, take points are all over the place and so is the price of gammons before and after the cube and the doubling strategies and taking strategies can vary greatly and sometimes even appear to be counter-intuitive until you've really examined and studied the numbers.

While someone might argue that money game cubes are as or more complicated, I would bet quite a bit of money that 90 percent of the people who play both money and match would disagree, and I would bet that it would be a lot easier to stump more players on take points at various match scores, and gammon values at different match scores, than it would be to stump them on money games.

MOST PEOPLE I play with, even Open players, could readily tell you the take points and price of gammons for money, and have no clue at 2away/4away, 2away/3away, or what the price of gammons is on a recube at 3away/7away.
