Frank, I do realise 0.01 ppg is a large improvement in bot strength, probably the difference between gnubg 0-ply and 1-ply. And I do realise only too well how much effort that takes. It somehow doesn't seem an awful lot over-the-board.

I guess it's just a timely reminder of how much luck there is in backgammon!
