Sorry about being frank, but with an errorrate at 8+ you are unlikely to be making money in the long run unless you are exceptionally good at selecting your opponents and keeping them entertained while playing online. If you have played only a year, your errorrate is very acceptabel, however, if you feel you have studied the game seriously for a year and dont progress further, then its time to think about what is hemming you in. Any thinking person with an interest in the game should be able to get to averaging approx 6 with serious study for a not formiddable period of time.
