Again, simple stuff, but less advanced readers learn from all types of circumstances.

I'm not completely certain of the correct answer here but the obvious consideration is how to best save the gammon, if possible. I made what I thought was the obviously efficient 11/6 play with the 5. Then looking for the ace play it struck me that 18/17 accomplished nothing if Julian rolled a large set. So, I played 6/5 to give me a gammon-saving 5-5 in addition to the gammon-saving 6-6 in case I did, in fact, only get a single additional roll (doubling my chances).

As fortune would have it, Julian did roll a large set and commented that I deserved the 5-5 after the ace play. Alas, I rolled 4-4. Gammon.
