In a pure race, White would be one pip short of a take. Here, White has a three point/holding game going which gives him extra equity in form of shots. Note our open five point.

As typical for holding games, volatility is not very large here. In addition, we cannot roll a market losing double as we still have five man on our midpoint. No double. When we're down to four or less men on our mid I'll ponder cubing again.
