You may not have had a chance to look at this closely yet, but do you have a sense for how the bots compare in backgames specifically?

With regards to the 500 game session, I haven't really studied any of the games yet to ascertain specific strengths and weaknesses of bots and plies but I intend to and post those positions here.

And on that topic, did you ever post a corrected bot-comparison table for that backgame position you showed us a little while ago?

I didn't publish the corrected table. The position proved to be very insightful though. I rolled out all the bots' top choices with Bot A then cross-checked some with Bot B. I then did truncated rollouts for EVERY LEGAL PLAY for all dice rolls which proved even more interesting!

The project is on hold for a few weeks the reason being I don't want to publish any data on the position without stat sig rollouts and I've just ordered a custom built core i7 pc so I can blaze through the rollouts after which I'll repost the original position.
