Bot Comparison 100 / 500 games

Michael (or someone else with both bots willing to make some tests), is there a way to measure speed of bots on different plies? How fast is XG roller compared with XG 4-ply and/or GNU 3-ply?

My current PC is to old to take advantage of multi thread so my speed numbers wouldn't be much use but maybe someone else can help you although you may want to wait until XG 1.1 is released as it has support for maximum threads which 1.04 doesn't.

I guess you would have to set up identical filters to get a very accurate comparison although this may be problematic as gnu skips 1 and 3 ply due to it's it's odd/even effect problem.

On my old machine on equivalent plies (gnubg 2-ply = XG 3-ply) XG is definitely faster and considerbaly so and if my bot comparison numbers are reliable yet, it's also stronger for checker play.
