Well, it certainly wasn't me. GoL positions tend to be tricky (otherwise why post them?), I wouldn't put my strike rate better than 25%.

I largely agree with the theme of your original post. After all, we can all consult a Bot+rollouts and come up with some nice reasons why the play is right.
