A full view of Bellycheck's line says that he should not have called a timeout prior to first down, and he certainly should not have passed on third and 2, saving Indy a timeout. If he was going to go on fourth down, he should have run on third down. And not blown another timeout prior to fourth down.

Coaches should certainly go on more fourth downs, and Parcells and Bellycheck have proved this on various occasions. But the problem in the example game was the disconnected coaching sequence.
