Wrong question. Robots are meant to do (human's) work and to do it better than a human. I think it was Karel Chapek a Czech author who wrote some short fantastic and humorous stories in the 1930s and invented the word robot. In slavonic languages robot means worker.

Humans do not race against cars, do they? So why do we need to beat robots?

I think on-line play and the robots are a great privilege of our time. On-line play makes it possible for players, including the greatest, to play more often at a much higher level. The problem is the prevailing use of on-line BG servers as slot machines. GG was the only happy exception permitting both money play and socializing. Servers, pretending to solve a problem, in fact act as slot machines, EXPLOITING a weakness of the BG community, the mistrust. If I believe a certain player will pay me as agreed, I do not need P65. I can play on FIBS.

Can we make a list of free servers? Can we make a list of clubs willing to play FAIR BACKGAMMON without extraneous guarantees?

PS this is an excellent forum. I was disgusted with the RGB and I rarely cast an eye on it untill cjc opened my eyes :)
