The double hit is normally worth consideration against backgames as a means to force a rehit and recirculate checkers that cannot otherwise help to prime the backgame to where they can be put to use. However, priming a 45 backgame will be of little use, since it is hard to do, and even if it works, the outside prime will not last. Meanwhile, the 45 backgame will maintain racing threats against an outside prime if too many checkers are recirculated. Bottom line, this game plan is a non-starter.

24/18 8/7 is clear to me.
