Just to clarify... I am convinced that those who did not want to testify did so because they didn't remember what had happened, not because they wanted to clam up. Remember, there was a long delay between the actual beginning of the game and this particular ruling, as Patrick had to be called over to adjust the clocks.

Combine the late hour with sleepy spectators with a rain delay, and it's really easy to see how it could all go down.
