24/22 is compulsory. I hit 7/4*, especially in light of cube ownership. If white misses the 20 shots this will leave good 1s, 2s, 3s, 4s and 6s. Not all 5s play badly either. Playing the quiet 5/2 is likely to lead to many gammon losses, too, as white is a favoutite to pick up more pieces later on. Hitting at least gives me a direct road to victory and even allows me to win a few gammons taking me to Crawford.
