The ace is either 8/7 or 6/5. Of the two, I slightly prefer the slot. White has no home board, a blot in our outfield to clean up and 3s and 5s that clean up the blot are duplicated on attacking our back checker. So the risk of being attacked is somewhat reduced. The large stack on the 6 point will be hard pressed to accomplish much productively without taking risk later on. The race is close, but we are effectively behind after the play. Finally, owning the defensive bar point while the opponent has no good defense argues more strongly for a bold play.
