I think we are in agreement. It is indeed a tradeoff. But I stand by my general concept that by anchoring you get all the benefit of the anchor at the prime's edge and at the same time retain a substantial portion of the benefits of leaping. It was indeed a simplification of the situation, but one which I think is useful in helping people frame what is going on here. I think the rule of thumb applies here that if you have a choice between a play that does two good things, it is usually better than a play that does one good thing.
