Equity is equity, and it can be gained or stolen from non giants whether you be playing a match or for money. The probability of different types of incorrect decisions may be different, but the equity generated spends the same either way. How can you figure that you can gain by bad redoubling a non giant in a money game but can't/shouldn't be trying to gain by bad (re)doubling a non giant at match play? You said you absolutely need to change your thinking depending on who you are playing, but want to restrict that to money play, and I can't imagine why. If I've seen my opponent flinch and then pass when he fans against a scary board before, why would I care what form of play I'm engaged in, if the math points toward double and steal? If they only pass scared at money and not in matches, then cool, signs point to no double, but if they pass scared at match play as well.......
end of rant I guess.
