Neil agrees completely. Thankfully the one time I had to play him it was clocked.

We played in the finals of what I think was called the US Open. It was at the last World Cup held in Dallas..way back in 1998. JG basically played like a bot from his time period. Very solid and just a bit less blotty than today's uberbots play.

The match was not recorded. I had a very interesting decision where I could pass and be way behind with 14% ME or take and rewhip and have 14% ME. He had about 25 minutes left on his analog clock. After long consideration, I figured WTH..I really doubt he can time out so I decided to take my chances on that game. I mentioned this to Kit, thinking I erred and he told me that JG could play just fine at a decent pace for clocks when he needed to.
