I'm with you guys.

There are a few ABT players I'd just as soon would not show up if the events aren't clocked. These guys shoulds have clocks put on them when they get off the plane.

A simple partial solution is directors should enforce a rule where NOBODY can be alive in more than two events at any one time. Let's assume everyone will play in the main event -- if they want to play in a Jackpot they can't play doubles (if it has to start Friday night); if they want to play doubles they can skip the Jackpot. And they can't enter any blitzes, minis, or anything else until they're knocked out of one of their two initial events. I don't care if they're otherwise sitting around twiddling their thumbs waiting on a match, because as certain as they start a blitz match their main opponent will be ready to start -- and the problems just compound.

Discipline and consideration are needed by many players and many directors.
