Oops I forgot this other part of it

It looks to me that the sequence 11, 11, 44, 11 doesn't, or at least shouldn't, crack either. (And if the sequence is 11, 11, 11, than the position is already cracked without the 44.)

I like the theory better that it is a slightly different position than that diagrammed, though it could be the position and the sequence.

Not that it matters, lol. I believe Rich when he says he rolled an unlucky sequence of three or four rolls that forced him to crack :).
