This appears to be a close choice. About half of his rolls are good with either play. After 15, I am closing-in on a cube if not hit. After 7,7, if not pointed on, I am closing-in on a cube, with most of his rolls. If the man on the 23 were on the 20, I would instantly play 22-15, but he value of having that man behind a 5-prime appeals to me and it may give him some difficult take decisions if the next couple of rolls don't favor him. Also, being hit after running is more harmful than being pointed on after 7,7. Another consideration, if my opponent were weaker than me, is that I would want the game to have more complicated checker plays and cube actions. I play 7,7.
