ELO distribution

I remember when there was a discussion last summer of whether the double elimination final should be one match or two. At that time I considered what a good way would be to sample a distribution of players with associated ELO's.

My thought at that time was to use the old (real) KG ratings as a basis to build the distribution.

Anyone else have any ideas? I could commit to doing that by the first of the year, if that would help you.

If you want to dig that up, that's great, although I have a hunch it's not hugely important. I was going to use normally distributed Elo ratings.
