11 to play DMP any difference?

I would slot the 4pt at almost any score. I applaud Matt's reasons that favor slotting more at DMP than at the original score (8-4 to 11).

I would add that if you make the 4pt, it is difficult to use both of the 8pt builders efficiently (White won't break the 3pt) -- you need to roll two aces. When you slot the 4pt, there is only one builder that needs to be used efficiently -- the 6pt spare that requires a deuce (to cover or hit back).

Minimization of low-efficiency spares is a useful concept to embrace when playing against backgames. White isn't actually in a backgame yet, of course, but in many variations he will or could be.

Your rollout thus far is too short to be conclusive, but if there's anyway that the rollout is biased, it would be against the slot, meaning that in five or ten years I would expect the slotting play to do a little better than it does now.

At GG, I would make the 4pt.
