Sure, everyone's eyes are different. I think that black and white checkers and diagrams are better because

- I like them better
- maybe many players are better used to them because of all the BG literature is printed in B/W
- brown checkers on dark green fields don't make a good contrast
- I concluded that in general B/W diagrams would erase some problems that people with color-blind difficulties may have

Personally, from all the options including the SW export I like the blue/white/grey exports from GnuBG best.
