Answering Phil's blathering
PS - 1. If a player drops out (or is killed by an angry opponent) in the middle of the tournament, does everyone he is supposed to play get a win? What about players who might have lost to him previously?
Rob - For realz? If someone doesn't show up because they hate money or are no longer alive they forfeit. However, if they were killed by another player, they would receive a penalty point. Unless it is from a knife wound, no penalty there.
PS - 2. If a player wins several matches and it is found that he has a magnetic board with rigged dice, what happens to the players he has previously beaten?
Rob - Unpossible, we know all backgammon players are like Tiger Woods, full of virtue and simply incapable of acting in a manner that would bring them into disrepute. Also stick would stab them so to be honest I think the vig just isn't there.
PS - 3. If there is a massive snow storm, which is often the case this time of year in Pittsburgh, and many players arrive a day late, what happens to your system then?
Rob - LIES DAMNED LIES!!!! Everyone knows that February in Pittsburgh is always warm and sunny with a chance of warmer and sunnier. Do you think it is near chicago or something?
PS - 4. If I go undefeated and win every match and the tournament, will there be a doctor available so that you can recover from your heart attack?
Rob - Unpossible. Who do you think you are, Scott Casty?
