Yes, the best current setting would be 5 ply checkers 4 ply cube. My understanding is that both these plies have quite wide search intervals so I doubt much would be gained by expanding to huge for rollouts with that high a ply.

Re: 5 ply vs 4 ply, from this chart it looks like 5 ply is about 15 times slower than 4 ply. http://www.extremegammon.com/images/Levelchart.png

Even with a superfast comp like this new O/C i7 I just set up here, I doubt you'll want to do opening type RO's at that setting unless you plan on letting them run for weeks. However, I suspect that setting will prove acceptable for later game RO's overnight or when I can let it run for a full day.

Many of use with fastish comps may want to do 4 ply both, or 3 ply(huge) 4 ply cube.

We'd all love to have RO's with XGR+ and Xavier is certainly aware of this. While I can't speak directly for him, he's told me that there's some significant programming that would have to happen to allow RO's with XGR(+)
