IMO, making the 3pt is right by a mile, for both shot and race reasons, as Rich stated. You'll win more, gammon more, and might even be gammoned less.

Saving a 6 is highly overrated, typically. Here, to get punished for not saving a 6, you will subsequently have to roll a 6 that doesn't hit and that is not blocked (as 63 66 currently are), get hit, not hit back (Opp might have a blot in her board or you might hit on the 18pt or in a few cases reanchor there), and still lose from there.
