43D-55P-11 - similar but very different

I too was surprised at this result as I am used to playing as you do. However I came to realize that I may have been making this play after 55P out of habit from it being correct after other similar openings. For example, 43D-53P-11 produces a similar looking position, but your play is very correct in that case. It seems that the extra pips of racing deficit from the 55 make priming more urgent and the shots less risky, while the two extra checkers in the zone argue against the split.
